A BHag for my birthday

Oh hey. Let me tell you about my beautiful BHag (pronounced "be hag," in case the tone of my voice isn't abundantly clear in your mind) for my birthday in 2024 - and the Launch to/500 offering.

On my birthday (Oct 15th, in case my Libra-ness isn't abundantly clear), I generally do what most people do at new years. I reflect on my past year and set some targets for my next trip around the sun.

The quick and dirty from last October

In '23, I got super solidly clear on my purpose - to temper science with heart, and a little bit of magic into experiences and resources that help people know, own, and be their best selves through wholeness.

In '24, I aim to use that clarity of purpose to do the work.

So far, I've made some big progress (oh hey Tempered), but Tempered is just a launch platform to help me do the actual work of helping people. Which brings me to my BHag.

BHag stands for Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal. It's the monster of a goal that is doable, but it's going to require some big, hairy, audacious commitment and work. My next BHag is to earn the International Coaching Federsation's (ICF) Level Two coaching credential by my birthday. One of the requirements for this credential is a whopping 500 one-on-one coaching hours. In ten months. Big, hairy, audacious goal.

ICF? Credentialing? What's this?

ICF is essentially the primary governing body for coaching, akin to the APA for psychology. The difference is that coaching isn't regulated by the government, so credentialing isn't required in order to operate as and use the term "coach" in professional practice. ICF is the coaching field's response to a need for things like a code of ethics, professional credentialing standards, accreditation standards for professional coach training schools, academic research, shared terminology, etc.

The level 2 credentialing process requires a minimum of 125 education hours from an accredited training school, mentored coaching, passing an exam, and as you'll see below 500 coaching hours with actual clients.

I don't have to have it, but it's important to me to earn this credential as another way of demonstrating ethics, education, and professionalism to my clients.

But like building Tempered, this BHag is just a platform to help me do the actual work. 500 hours means 500 hours of helping people like you step into wholeness, be open to and find love, heal and release what's no longer serving you, or setting and meeting your own big, hairy, audacious goals.

The Launch to/500 offering is intended to support the launch of this mission. It's really simple. All packages are 50% off and every package comes with one free session you can give to a friend. Tis' the season after all. And, this offering is open to all past, current, and new clients.

I'll definitely have other offerings and promotions throughout the year to help me push to the finish line, but I'm committed to not offering the same initiative twice.

If this one speaks to you, let's talk.
